Letsgo2 employees have travelled extensively to the destinations we feature. Here are the five main reasons they would consider a visit to the Seychelles.

Beautiful Beaches
There is a fantastic choice of beaches to choose from on the 115 islands, which are by far the most beautiful in the Indian Ocean. Mahe, the main island has 65 beaches to choose from alone. The islands have an idyllic diverse scenery of lush green rainforests rolling down to the beautiful azure ocean, lined with palm trees and pristine white sand beaches, making it an ideal destination to unwind and relax by the waters of the Indian Ocean.

Culture and Cuisine
You can enjoy the delicious Creole cuisine, featuring the subtleties of French cooking, the exotism of Indian dishes and the piquant flavours of the Orient. The Seychellois are a colourful blend of people from different races, cultures and religions and the islands have a history deriving from Africa, Europe and Asia. Grilled fish or octopus served with a sauce of crushed chillies, ginger and garlic is one of the nation's specialities, washed down with Seybrew, the local lager.

Natural Beauty
The Seychelles is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Vallee de Mai on Praslin is a must see, where coco-de-mer nuts grow high on ancient palms. It is so remarkable it was once believed to be the original site of the Garden of Eden and considered to be one of the botanical wonders of the world. Aldabra is the world's largest raised coral atoll, the island has been virtually untouched by humans and is home to the world's largest population of giant tortoises. It is a great place for ocean wildlife, where you can see turtles, barracudas and hammerhead sharks.

Climate
If you enjoy sunshine and warm weather, the Seychelles is a perfect year round destination. Temperatures rarely drop below 24C or above 32C, ideal climate to relax on the beaches and also explore the islands amazing natural surroundings. Although it is generally warm and humid, there are still two distinct seasons. May through to September, the temperature is cools down with lower humidity and less rain with gentle breezes. November through to March, there is a bit more rain, higher humidity and warmer weather. The heaviest rainfall is usually during mid- December to mid-January.

Water Sports and Marine Life
Home to some of the best sailing, diving and snorkelling in the world, the warm waters boast coral reefs and an abundance of marine life, including turtles, whale sharks and manta rays. Seychelles is home to four marine parks and more than 150 species of tropical fish, colourful corals and fascinating wrecks. Majority of resorts offers windsurfing, kayaking and sunset cruises. Sailing is also hugely popular, particularly around the calmer waters of the inner islands.
