The parent trap – family friendly Mauritius

It was time to start planning the next family holiday, looking at different destinations we decided we wanted to venture a bit further afield. We came across family deals for Mauritius the first thought is surely not for a family holiday? Mauritius has always been a destination we wanted to visit so we started to look into this a little bit more and were surprised with the number of family-friendly hotels and activities there were on offer, we soon realised the hardest part was going to be choosing a hotel!  This was all helped with dedicated family sections – https://www.letsgo2.com/family/indian-ocean/mauritius/

Travelling in the summer to Mauritius there is only a 3 hour time difference meaning the jet lag was minimal and more time to enjoy the holiday.  We settled on the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort https://www.letsgo2.com/mauritius/hotels/heritage-awali-golf-and-spa-resort/default.aspx, mainly for their All-Inclusive inclusions and special offers of 2 children staying free! When we arrived at the resort we knew we had made the right choice, it was simply stunning. The children were made to feel special with activities on offer for them at the children’s club – The Timmo & Friends mini club. As part of our all-inclusive, a lot of the activities were included, including a complimentary glass bottom boat trip.

We decided to spend a few days exploring the island and were recommended different activities including zip lining at Casela Nature & Leisure Park and the water park were thrilling afternoons for the whole family!  The whole families best afternoon was spent Dolphin watching at Tamarin bay, being able to watch them in their natural habitat was simply amazing and an experience that will never be forgotten.

One of the best holidays we have taken as a family, and we will be going back! The hotel has some amazing offers for families including teenagers!

Price for a family of four, 7 nights All Inclusive at the 5* Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort start from £4195 including return flights with Emirates from Gatwick. Valid for stays between 01-31 Jul 14.
